How do I set the time and date?

Set Time

Step 1: Pull the crown to the "Out" position. Turn crown to move the hands forward (clockwise) to set the time. Set the minute hand approximately 5 minutes ahead of the desired minute marker, and then turn back to the desired marker.

Step 2: Push the crown back into to the “Set” position.

Step 1: When The Second hand reaches the 60th second mark, pull the crown to the “Out” position.

Step 2: Turn the crown to move the hands forward (clockwise) until you see the date (for date only) or both day and date change (Midnight). 

Step 3:

Models with Date: 
Push the crown to the “Mid” position (one “click”). Turn crown one way until the correct date appears. then pull the crown "Out

Models with Weekday and Date: 
Push the crown to the “Mid” position (one “click”). Turn crown clockwise until the correct weekday appears. Then, turn the crown counter-clockwise to set the day. When both are correct, pull the crown "Out

Step 4: For AM time, move the hands forward until the minute hand is approximately 5 minutes ahead of the desired minute marker; then turn back to the same minute marker. For PM time first advance the hands past 12 o’clock midday, then set the time.

Step 5: When the time you are referencing reaches the 60th second, push the crown to the Set position

NOTE: The date will change automatically at midnight. The watch calendar uses a 31 day cycle. So, at the end of any month with less than 31 days, the date must be advanced manually to “1” (See Step 3)

I bought a watch but the band is too large. How do I adjust it to fit my wrist?

We highly recommend taking the watch to a jewelry/watch store in your local mall who'll do it for you! It's fairly cheap and sometimes they even do it for free since its such a quick job. 

If you'd like to do it yourself, its fairly easy to do. You can push any small metal pin into the holes on the left side of the straps near the clasp to push out the metal bar that connects the links. Once the link is removed, reconnect the strap with one of the metal bars you removed.

When will this model be available again?

Such high standards for quality control naturally restrict our production capacity and, at times, the demand for our watches outpaces this capacity. Therefore, the availability of certain models may be limited. 

We receive regular deliveries as new timepieces are crafted. Check back regularly to see if a model is back in stock.

Are your watches water proof?

3ATM(Unless otherwise stated) - We like to say our wooden watches are splashproof. Feel free to wash your hands or come in contact with small amounts of water. Base jumping off of a 100-foot cliff into the pacific ocean is not recommended. 

Considering we use 100% all-natural wood, prolonged exposure to water isn't recommended. Over time water will penetrate the wood and can leave stains and cause swelling.

Where is your business located and where do you ship from?

The Wood Forest is strictly an online shop, and our team is completely virtual. However, our fulfillment partner ships out of their warehouse in South Carolina.

Do you guys ship to my country? How much does it cost?

We currently only ship in the US.

Shipping is FREE on all orders.

How long does it take to ship out my order?

If your timepiece is in stock it will ship within 3-5 days M - F. Otherwise, Made-to-order items (Sold - Out/ Pre-orders) usually take 1-3 weeks to be delivered depending on demand. We ship all orders from our warehouse in South Carolina, USA

You'll receive a shipping confirmation with your tracking number as soon as it's shipped! 

If an issue arises and you can not wait during the crafting process, no problem! You can cancel your order for a full refund while you are waiting.

I have small/large wrists. Will your watches fit?

All our wooden/metal strap watches, come with removable links and a link Remova tool making them fully adjustable to fit all wrist sizes. Our watches are suitable for everyone!

What's the diameter of the watches?

The faces of our watches vary from 36mm to 45mm in diameter. All sizing details are listed on the product page under "Specs".

What movement powers these beautiful timepieces?

For most of our watches, we use high-quality, high precision, Japanese Quartz Movement. While other models feature an automatic movement. 

Warranty

What warranty do I have on my watch?

Your satisfaction is guaranteed for 5 years after you receive your order. This covers issues such as the watch stops ticking or regarding any internal components malfunctioning.

Beyond this, our watches utilize an industry-standard Quartz Movement that is easily serviceable by most jewelry/watch stores for a reasonable price. For warranty information, just supply your order number or email used for purchase when contacting support@woodforestwatch.com and we'll take care of the rest. 

Orders

My package was delivered damaged, what do I do?

While we use extra packing material to make sure everything arrives in one piece, there is that 1% of the time where it almost seems like the post office has been playing bowling with the package. If there are any problems, shoot us an email using our contact form below and we'll make sure to get it sorted out for you!

I accidentally dropped my watch and it cracked. Is this covered?

We use a sapphire coated mineral glass on most of our watches which is very durable so as long as you don't chuck it across the room, this shouldn't happen! 

Unfortunately, we don't offer accidental damage warranty coverage - we wanted to make our watches as affordable as possible and so we don't build any replacement costs due to accidental damage into the price of our watches. 

We're humans too so if there are any issues, shoot us an email and we'll see what we can do for you!

I tried to adjust the band myself and accidentally cracked it. Can you help?

We recommend getting the band adjusted by a watch or jewelry shop if needed, just because of the nature of wooden products being more fragile than typical all metal straps, and we wouldn't want to damage the watch! It's fairly cheap and sometimes they'll even do it for free since it's such quick job! 

If you're a DIY type of person and ran into problems, don't worry, we're humans too so shoot us an email and we'll work something out!

What is your refund policy?

You may return your item for a full refund or product exchange within 30 days from the date the item is delivered to you. If you are still waiting for your order and wish to cancel, no problem! We'll give you a full refund if you don't want to wait. See more info here --> Refund Policy

How can I cancel or change my order?

How long to refunds take to process?

Refunds usually take 3-5 business days to fully process, but can take up to 7 days to show up on your card.

I was double charged by accident

First of all thanks for purchasing with us! Hopefully you'll recall a problem submitting the order initially and submitting the order more than once before it going through. Although the transaction didn't go through, your card issuing bank may place the requested funds on a hold - thus appearing as though another valid charge was made.

The hold on the funds will remain until it is removed by your card issuer. The time frame for how long these funds are held is entirely up to the card issuer, the industry average is 7 days for credit cards and 3 days for debit cards; although, some banks will hold the funds for up to 30 days. Your online report will show these charges likely as "Pending".

My order is getting declined, why?

99% Of the time there is an issue with placing your order, it's because you have recently moved. 

Your billing address needs to be set to the address your credit card is registered to.

If that's the case, you can untoggle "Same as shipping address" and select "Use a different billing address" 

I have not received my order confirmation yet.

The most likely reason is that your order confirmation went to spam or junk. We've had this issue frequently with popular email platforms like Hotmail/Outlook and Yahoo. So please check your spam folder and mark the item as "not spam"

If you can't find the order confirmation in your spam folder, please contact us through the contact form below and we'll help you locate your order.

Why did you take my money out of my account and my order has not shipped yet?

ALL orders placed on our site are automatically charged to your form of payment (credit card or debit card) upon placing the order. We do not "take your money" out of your account; when you place an order from us you agree for the shown total order value to be charged to your form of payment immediately. This does not mean we will keep your money if you need a refund! Please see our  Refund Policy  for more information.
